PCA I, Inpatient- Acute Care Neurology/Neurosurgery, 24 hours, Nights

We are seeking a skilled PCA I to join our Inpatient Neurology/Neurosurgery team at UMass Memorial Health. As a PCA I, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with RNs regarding patient observations and changes.
- Participate in maintaining a safe environment and utilizing de-escalation techniques.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, ambulation, meals, and nourishment.
- Assist with patient movement, lifting, and positioning, utilizing proper safety techniques and body mechanics.
- Perform patient safety checks and utilize fall prevention strategies.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification.
- Clinical experience in a similar role.
- Prior inpatient/outpatient care experience or clinical care training.
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology and computer skills.
Works every other weekend and every other holiday, with a schedule of 11:00-7:30am.
