Inpatient PCA Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Inpatient PCA I to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with RNs and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in maintaining a safe environment by utilizing interventions to de-escalate patients and following restraint policies as directed.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, ambulation, meals, and nourishment.
- Utilize proper safety techniques and body mechanics to move, lift, position, and transport patients.
- Perform patient safety checks and utilize fall prevention alternative devices/strategies as directed.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification required.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a similar role.
- Prior inpatient/outpatient care experience or clinical care training.
- Medical Terminology and computer skills.
3:00-11:30pm, every other weekend. Every other holiday.
