We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Assist with patient transfers, lifting, and positioning, utilizing proper safety techniques and body mechanics.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of a safe environment, including fall prevention and restraint protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or EMT license preferred.
- One year of experience as a PCA I - Inpatient or completion of acute care training.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
