Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the integration of environmental health and safety services into business practices while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards on assigned projects.
  • Serve as the primary EHS contact for project teams, including direct collaboration with EH&S personnel, Superintendents, Project Managers, and Regional EHS Directors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading safety initiatives on transit, commuter rail, or design-build projects.
  • Completion of NYC Track Safety training.
  • A minimum of 90 days of experience managing Right of Way (ROW) operations, including flagging and service diversions.
  • Completion of the NYC Department of Building's 40-hour Site Safety Managers course (licensure not required).
  • Successful completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health course.
  • Possession of a current New York State Department of Labor Asbestos Inspectors License.
  • Certification in C-3 / C-5 Supervisor / Competent Person training for De-leading of Industrial Structures.
  • Active membership in the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of heavy civil construction practices.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
