Position Overview:
The EHS and Facilities Operations Leader will spearhead the development, execution, and oversight of all relevant activities within Watts Applied Solutions across the platform. Key responsibilities include managing project programs, collaborating with site and platform leadership to drive operational enhancements, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal, external, and customer standards.
Your Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee a measurement system for production and facility operations, including contracted services.
- Organize and promote comprehensive training initiatives to equip employees with the necessary skills for their roles.
- Lead site safety committees and ensure effective reporting and operational systems are in place.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge success.
- Facilitate continuous improvement projects in collaboration with functional teams, targeting two projects annually.
- Manage compliance reporting for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs.
- Act as the safety liaison, coordinating with the Corporate EHS Executive to promote standardization.
- Champion safe operational practices in alignment with company policies and compliance mandates.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout Tagout, fall protection, and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with external vendors, customers, and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct root cause analyses of safety incidents and communicate findings to leadership as necessary.
- Formulate and uphold maintenance objectives in conjunction with operations to ensure compliance and optimize product delivery while minimizing costs.
- Oversee facility and maintenance needs, including utilities and service agreements impacting Watts Applied Solutions sites.
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to articulate a vision and strategy for EHS, Facilities, and Maintenance.
- Exceptional teamwork and process management skills.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with colleagues while driving change in a matrix environment.
- Willingness to travel 30 to 40% as needed.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally need to stand, sit, and use hands for various tasks. The role may require lifting or moving up to 25 pounds independently. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
