Role Overview: The EHS Manager will be responsible for embedding environmental health and safety practices into business operations while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations on assigned projects. This role is project-specific, requiring close collaboration with EHS personnel, Superintendents, Project Managers, Project Executives, and Area/Regional EHS Directors.

Qualifications Required:

  • Proven experience leading safety initiatives on at least one transit, commuter rail, or design-build project.
  • Trained in NYC Track Safety.
  • A minimum of 90 days of experience working on Right of Way (ROW) with flagging and service diversions.
  • Completion of the NYC Department of Building 40-hour Site Safety Managers course (license not required).
  • Successful completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health course.
  • Possession of a current New York State Department of Labor Asbestos Inspectors License.
  • Current C-3/C-5 Supervisor/Competent Person training for De-leading of Industrial Structures Certificate.
  • Active membership in the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
  • Familiarity with all aspects of heavy civil construction.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
