About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Services Coordinator to join our team at Independence House, Inc. (IH). As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for coordinating the provision of services for adults, children, and teens impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily operations of programs, including scheduling and ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Provide direct services, including crisis intervention, individual counseling, advocacy, and support groups.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Director to ensure proper implementation and delivery of services.
  • Aid in assigning Rape Crisis Counselors to respond to calls and provide backup support as needed.
  • Ensure that MPA volunteers and staff have the necessary supplies for call-outs.
  • Develop and implement ongoing services, advocacy, referrals, and ensure requests for services are coordinated.
  • Provide training and support to staff on hotline calls and conduct quarterly test calls.
  • Participate in Pre-Service training for the sections of the Hotline and facilitate therapeutic, support, and curriculum-based groups.
  • Review documentation and client files of participants and monitor productivity.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work or similar field and 3+ years of experience or bachelor's degree in social work or related field and 5+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and skills in coordinating and providing direct services, case management, group facilitation, and individual counseling.
  • Strong clinical background and commitment to working on behalf of adult, child, tween, teen SDV survivors.
  • Knowledge of community resources and sensitivity to the needs of survivors, including children and teens.
