Restaurant Service Manager Job Description

CyHawk Hospitality, Inc., the proud franchisee of Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, is seeking a skilled Restaurant Service Manager to join our team in Norfolk. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and driving sales and profit growth for our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing restaurant operations, including manpower and administration.
  • Ensure that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly, adhering to established procedures, performance standards, and local health department regulations.
  • Perform or assist all functions for all positions in the restaurant, as required.
  • Manage the unit's compliance to productivity and service standards, ensuring a sufficient number of well-trained and productive employees.
  • Oversee the proper management of the facility and equipment, including preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security measures, and adherence to safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Conduct employment activities, including staffing, training, and performance reviews, for all dining room personnel.
  • Ensure accurate financial data, including payroll, cash and receipts, productivity, food costs, and operating expenses.
  • Attend unit management meetings and make presentations as requested.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to make sound judgments and follow through on commitments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example and maintain a guest-first focus.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and issues, and make timely and sound decisions.
  • Passion for food, liquor, beer, and wine, with a working knowledge of these areas.
  • Ability to set and share goals with the team, monitor and track progress, and directly and honestly address issues and resolve conflicts.
