Senior Marketing Strategist for Accountant Engagement

Overview: We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to spearhead the growth of QuickBooks Online through our esteemed network of accountants. This role involves conducting in-depth analyses to uncover opportunities that can enhance performance for our service offerings while also monitoring and reporting on the business's health within a rapidly expanding portfolio.

What You Will Contribute:

  • 5-7 years of experience leading strategic initiatives or driving business performance enhancements. Experience in product marketing is advantageous but not mandatory. Equivalent roles in marketing, consulting, product analytics, financial planning & analysis, corporate strategy, or sales will also be considered.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, visual, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence strategic discussions using data.
  • Proficient in analyzing KPI trends, particularly those related to financial metrics and campaign effectiveness, and adept at identifying the causes of any unexpected variances.
  • Experience in developing budgets, financial forecasts, and operational projections.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to navigate a matrixed environment and cultivate robust partnerships across all organizational levels. Ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with diverse data sets to derive insights; experience in quantitative data analysis is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and task prioritization skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate objectives, plans, statuses, and results, focusing on the most critical points.
  • A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous growth.
  • Proficient in tools such as Google Docs, Excel, Tableau, A/B testing methodologies, SQL, and other data analysis software.
Your Leadership Role:
  • Oversee daily business operations by gaining a deep understanding of the factors influencing our KPIs and business dynamics, projecting future outlooks, crafting plans to enhance performance, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop narratives around business results and trends, including comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, status updates, and root cause analyses.
  • Analyze business performance for key go-to-market activities, including marketing campaigns, product launches, and sales initiatives.
  • Identify and implement strategies to mitigate challenges while ensuring alignment with leaders and teams on relative priorities; assess their effectiveness and adjust as needed.
  • Spot and drive opportunities to boost performance, ensuring alignment with leaders of cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, sales, analytics, and finance, on priority initiatives.
  • Act as the marketing lead for the annual and quarterly financial forecasting process and its underlying assumptions.
