Our Corporate Marketing Team at Elastic is dedicated to crafting and executing exceptional events and experiences that position Elastic as a trusted partner for the world's leading organizations. We are in search of a seasoned and innovative Lead Event Marketing Strategist who excels in collaboration and possesses a wealth of ideas, ready to engage in every detail necessary for success. In this prominent role, you will play a key part in managing our global schedule of third-party conferences and proprietary events aimed at enhancing Elastic's brand visibility, nurturing lead interactions, and generating new sales prospects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the planning and execution of events from inception to completion, ensuring meticulous attention to logistical details to maximize engagement and value.
  • Managing vendor relationships and collaborating with agencies and service providers to efficiently achieve event objectives.
  • Partnering with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to align their business goals with the company's branding and messaging strategies.
  • Developing and overseeing event budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Working closely with Procurement to negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring optimal resource utilization and compliance with InfoSec and Privacy standards.
  • Measuring return on investment, audience engagement, and feedback to evaluate outcomes, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance future events for an outstanding attendee experience.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with events, creating contingency plans and safety protocols to address unforeseen challenges.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in B2B marketing or event management, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with users and leadership.
  • Proficient in leading, creating, and presenting a long-term vision, supported by a strategic approach to achieve it, with a business-oriented focus that facilitates executive engagement.
  • Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams, approaching challenges with a solutions-driven mindset.
  • Dynamic, adaptable, and focused on delivering tangible business results, with a visionary perspective to align event objectives with corporate priorities.
  • Experience in executing integrated, ROI-focused marketing and lead generation initiatives.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and time management skills, demonstrating keen attention to detail and foresight in processes.
  • Commitment to refining small details and surpassing user experience expectations.
  • Prior collaboration with sales teams, showcasing an understanding of how to support and enhance their efforts.
  • Data-driven approach, with experience in analyzing campaign outcomes to derive actionable business insights.
  • Ability to multitask and cater to various stakeholders in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time and effectively manage a remote work setting.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
  • Ability to endure extended periods of standing or sitting at events.

Compensation for this position is structured as a base salary without a variable compensation component. The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is $128,200-$202,900 USD, with potential variations based on geographic location and other factors.
