Lead Accounting Strategist

Our client, a rapidly expanding technology firm, is in search of a Senior Accounting Manager to enhance their financial department.
This position entails overseeing financial documentation, ensuring adherence to accounting regulations, managing payroll and procurement functions, and facilitating various audits.
The ideal candidate will possess the freedom to innovate financial practices and streamline operations.Key Responsibilities
1. Execute the monthly financial closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
2. Generate and evaluate periodic financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
3. Coordinate and assist with annual financial audits, tax submissions, and other audits (e.g., financial, tax, workers' compensation).
4. Oversee the billing operations (A/R & subscriptions), accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
5. Formulate and enforce accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and precision.
6. Manage tax compliance and submissions.
7. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Experience, RevOps, and other divisions to establish effective processes and customer engagement standards.
8. Support special projects and ad-hoc reporting as necessary to drive revenue and cost efficiencies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-6+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally in high-growth technology or pre-IPO environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and accounting software tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Rillet, Brex).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and accounting principles.
Compensation
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco is based on various factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure:$150K - $160K per year.
