Job Title: Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Director to join our team at Sixteenth Street Community Health Center. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase individual, foundation, and corporate giving, as well as event and grant funding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare compelling narratives for touch points and impact reports.
  • Develop and implement a plan to effectively cultivate and solicit corporations, individuals, organizations, and foundations.
  • Evaluate fundraising campaigns and analyze activities for overall effectiveness.
  • Draft and lead creation of donor communications to Major and Planned Gift Donors.
  • Work with members of the staff and board to identify and pursue funding sources and prospects.
  • Meet with and develop donor relationships using prospect research tools and the database.
  • Coordinate donor meetings and prepare necessary presentation materials.
  • Manage donor database; ensure accuracy of gift entry and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other agencies about fund raising activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider individual with 3-5 years development experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of fund development experience with proven success in all facets of annual giving.
  • Outstanding written communication skills and experience in donor cultivation.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and experience in meeting with top administrators, executives, and community leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, problem solving, managing people and budgets.
  • Ability to work on selected weeknights and weekends as required.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters and information.
  • Experience with fundraising and data management systems; Donor Perfect is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software.
