We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Director to join our team at Sixteenth Street Community Health Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies to support our mission of improving health and well-being in underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to increase individual, foundation, and corporate giving, as well as event and grant funding.
  • Prepare narratives for touch points and impact reports to showcase our organization's impact and success.
  • Evaluate fundraising campaigns and analyze activities for overall effectiveness.
  • Draft and lead creation of donor communications to Major and Planned Gift Donors.
  • Work with staff and board members to identify and pursue funding sources and prospects.
  • Meet with and develop donor relationships using prospect research tools and our database.
  • Coordinate donor meetings and prepare necessary presentation materials.
  • Manage donor database and ensure accuracy of gift entry and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other agencies on fundraising activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but will consider individuals with 3-5 years of development experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of fund development experience with proven success in all facets of annual giving.
  • Outstanding written communication skills and experience in donor cultivation.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and experience in meeting with top administrators, executives, and community leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, problem-solving, managing people and budgets.
  • Ability to work on selected weeknights and weekends as required.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters and information.
  • Experience with fundraising and data management systems; Donor Perfect is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
