Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team at BECO. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities on commercial and/or multifamily job sites, ensuring that subcontractors are performing according to the contract and that the budget, site plans, and schedules are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Review plans and specifications for errors and report findings to the project manager.
  • Subcontractor Management: Enforce subcontract terms with subcontractors/vendors and monitor daily production and weather reports.
  • Site Coordination: Coordinate construction stakeout, subcontractor work efforts, and material deliveries.
  • Quality Control: Conduct daily erosion and sediment control inspections and coordinate subcontractor daily clean-up.
  • Communication: Update construction schedules daily and provide updates to the office, and coordinate any subcontractor notifications with the project manager.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor subcontractor inspections, testing, and private utility installation, and ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
  • Project Closeout: Oversee and tally all earthwork haul tickets, monitor project closeout procedures, and assist in the monthly review of invoices.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum High School diploma, preferably a four-year degree.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial construction, with a thorough knowledge of all aspects of commercial, multi-family, and site development projects.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, plan take-offs, project budgets, and estimating, with strong scheduling skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate general office equipment, including computers, phones, and related media and informational devices.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate both in person and/or by telephone.
