The Team

Our Value Engineers serve as essential advisors throughout the entire customer value journey, operating at the crossroads of technology and business. They collaborate with sales teams and clients to devise innovative solutions and prototypes using Celonis software to address significant business challenges.

You will be part of the Global Value Engineering Center of Excellence, a diverse and dynamic team at the heart of our Value Engineering organization. We thrive in a fast-paced environment, fostering a culture of trust, continuous learning, and mutual growth. You will report to a Value Engineering Program Manager.

The Role

This role is part of the 12-month Orbit Program, designed for talented individuals eager to launch their careers in enterprise software. As an Associate Value Engineer, you will focus on a specific industry within the North American market.

The program emphasizes client engagement, mentorship, and a collaborative team culture. You will leverage your technical background to develop key Value Engineering skills, becoming a trusted advisor to clients and forging strong, lasting relationships that will support your career advancement at Celonis.

Your journey will commence with comprehensive onboarding and training, enhancing your business acumen through hands-on customer engagement experiences. Training will encompass various topics, including:

  • Developing and coding within the Celonis platform
  • Identifying business and technical requirements for clients
  • Overcoming objections and gaining industry insights
  • Enhancing presentation and demonstration skills
  • Understanding value selling and realization
  • Managing customer accounts effectively

Your Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to identify core business challenges and determine how Celonis EMS can facilitate their objectives.
  • Adapt existing Celonis applications or develop new ones using Vertica SQL and PQL to illustrate solutions that alleviate process issues.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept projects within the Celonis platform to demonstrate the value of Celonis EMS aligned with client strategies.
  • Analyze technical aspects of Celonis IT architecture with clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and partners to design and implement solutions in Celonis EMS that drive value realization.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, earning their trust through technical expertise and business insight.
  • Articulate the strategic and quantitative business value of Celonis to client organizations, presenting to senior executives.
  • Work alongside the implementation services team to ensure customer value is realized post-sale.
  • Monitor customer success and manage renewals effectively.
  • Innovate solutions for clients and provide feedback to internal Product and Engineering teams.
  • Create reusable resources and best practices within the Global Value Engineering Center of Excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
  • Relevant internship or at least one year of experience in data analytics or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following technologies: SQL, R, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Python, or another data analytics tool.
  • Genuine interest in technology and big data.
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills, particularly in applying technology to business challenges.
  • Commitment to delivering value to clients.
  • Aptitude for building relationships with senior management.
  • Confidence in presenting to various audiences, including C-level executives.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn from mistakes.
  • Curiosity and self-motivation, with a desire for continuous learning in a dynamic environment.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, including Celonis EMS.
  • Effective communication skills, fluent in English.
