The Team

Our Value Engineers (VE) serve as trusted advisors throughout the customer value journey, bridging the gap between technology and business. They collaborate with sales teams and clients to develop innovative solutions and prototypes using Celonis software to address significant business challenges.

You will be part of the Global VE Center of Excellence, a diverse and dynamic team at the heart of the Celonis Value Engineering organization. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to kickstart their careers in enterprise software through the 12-month Orbit Program as an Associate Value Engineer, with a commitment to a specific Orbit Hub. Your responsibilities will align with a designated industry within the North American market.

The program offers a unique experience emphasizing client interactions, mentorship, and a collaborative team culture. You will leverage your technical background to develop essential VE skills, becoming a trusted advisor to clients and forging strong, lasting relationships that will support your career growth at Celonis.

Your journey will commence with onboarding and enablement, enhancing your business acumen through hands-on customer engagement and training. This training will encompass various topics, including:

  • Building and coding within the Celonis platform
  • Scoping business and technical requirements for clients
  • Addressing objections and gaining industry knowledge
  • Enhancing presentation and demonstration skills
  • Understanding value selling and realization
  • Managing customer accounts

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to identify core business challenges using systems analysis techniques and determine how Celonis EMS can assist in achieving their objectives.
  • Modify existing Celonis applications or develop new ones using Vertica SQL and PQL to illustrate solutions that alleviate process pain points.
  • Execute proof projects by developing within the Celonis platform to demonstrate the value of Celonis EMS in addressing clients' strategic needs.
  • Review technical aspects of Celonis IT architecture with clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and partners to design and implement solutions in the Celonis EMS that drive value realization.
  • Build robust relationships with clients, earning their trust through technical expertise and business insight.
  • Present the strategic and quantitative business value that Celonis can deliver to clients, addressing senior executives to drive investment decisions.
  • Work alongside the implementation services team to ensure customer value is realized post-sale.
  • Monitor and develop success plans for clients, managing renewals effectively.
  • Innovate for clients by collaborating and providing feedback to internal Product and Engineering teams.
  • Create reusable resources, best practices, and tools within the Global VE Center of Excellence and share them with the regional Value Engineering team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
  • Significant internship experience or at least one year of work experience in data analytics or a related role.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following technologies: SQL, R, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Python, or another data analytics software/programming language.
  • A strong passion for technology and big data, and its potential impact on the world.
  • Analytical and creative thinking skills, particularly in applying technology solutions to business challenges.
  • A focus on delivering value to clients.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior management and influence decision-makers.
  • Confidence in presenting to audiences, including C-level executives.
  • A problem-solving mindset, willing to think outside the box and learn from mistakes.
  • Curiosity, self-motivation, and a desire for continuous learning in a dynamic environment.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to take ownership and prioritize tasks.
