About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Client Intake Specialist to join our team at Rebuilding Together Peninsula. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to preserve affordable homeownership and maintain the diverse fabric of the peninsula.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to requests from prospective and current homeowners regarding their applications, providing clear and concise information about our programs and services.
  • Effectively communicate guidelines for participation, ensuring that all stakeholders have a thorough understanding of our eligibility criteria and application process.
  • Conduct pre-repair project briefings for homeowners and facilities, providing detailed information about the repair process and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Provide updates on progress and issues, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the repair process.
  • Schedule home assessments for staff to determine homeowners' and agencies' repair needs, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and documented.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track progress, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to up-to-date information about the repair process.
  • Support quarterly and year-end reporting, providing data and insights that inform our program development and evaluation.
  • Support the design of new forms and systems to enhance efficiency, ensuring that our processes are streamlined and effective.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service approach, with a focus on building relationships and providing exceptional support to our stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with people of diverse backgrounds, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by low-income, elderly, and disabled members of our community.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and responsible, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including homeowners, facilities, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, with a strong ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable, with a strong ability to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Comfortable with information technology and basic software, including Google Apps and MS Office/Word.
  • Reliable transportation, valid California driver's license, and proof of insurance.
  • Pass a background check and have a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, with the ability to use this software to manage client relationships and track progress.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by low-income, elderly, and disabled members of our community.
