Position Summary:
Brakin Out Inc. is looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic vision of our organization, ensuring effective governance, and advocating for our mission to provide mentorship and second chances to at-risk youth. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and impactful nonprofit, making a significant difference in the lives of young people in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise Sharing: Provide insights and knowledge based on your experience with at-risk youth and their families to inform our strategies and initiatives.
  • Networking: Leverage your professional connections to forge partnerships and create opportunities for the youth we serve.
  • Program Enhancement: Assist in the development and refinement of programs designed for at-risk youth.
  • Mission Advocacy: Serve as an ambassador for Brakin Out Inc., promoting awareness and support within the community and professional networks.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in social work or a related field within social services.
  • In-depth understanding of the challenges faced by at-risk youth and their families.
  • Strong communication and networking abilities.
  • Dedication to the mission and values of Brakin Out Inc.
  • Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or resource development is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit governance and strategic planning is preferred.
  • Prior board experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently.
