Role Summary:
Brakin Out Inc. is in search of enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic vision of our organization, ensuring effective governance, and advocating for our mission to provide mentorship and second chances to at-risk youth. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and impactful nonprofit, making a significant difference in the lives of underprivileged young individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Oversight: Ensure the financial integrity of the organization by monitoring its fiscal health and implementing appropriate financial controls.
  • Strategic Financial Guidance: Provide insights and expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Support Fundraising Initiatives: Assist in securing resources and fostering partnerships to sustain and enhance our programs.
  • Mission Advocacy: Serve as an ambassador for Brakin Out Inc., promoting awareness and support within the community and professional networks.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a solid grasp of nonprofit accounting principles.
  • Exceptional skills in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • In-depth understanding of the financial challenges faced by nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of Brakin Out Inc.
  • Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or resource development is advantageous.
  • Prior board experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the community.
