About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lift Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Dodge Ridge. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our lifts by monitoring, maintaining, and repairing lift equipment in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inspections of all lift equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough and accurate documentation of lift maintenance records to track equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and repair tramways, tows, surface lifts, and conveyors under difficult situations, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Use and care of radio equipment to communicate with team members and respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventory, and conserve resources by checking stock levels and anticipating needs.
  • Meet service level objectives and department standards as set forth by immediate supervisor.
  • Recognize and correct any safety hazards within the lift maintenance department, and use appropriate safety equipment for tasks.
  • Safe operation of a snowmobile in various terrain, and understand and follow the Dodge Ridge Safety Plan.
  • Maintain a high level of organization, professionalism, and cleanliness in all work stations, adhering to proper care, storage, and safety procedures for tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • Be technically and mechanically minded, with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and write legibly, and use good composition skills to complete records and report forms.
  • Basic mathematical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, task-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work in an environment involving noise pollution, requiring the use of hearing protection.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces or on towers up to 70 feet.
  • Mechanical training, and basic electrical knowledge.
  • Reading and understanding all technical documents.
  • Must be well-groomed and present a good public image.
  • Good physical condition, with ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Good manual and physical dexterity skills.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older, and possess a valid driver's license, meeting Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.
Work Environment

As a Lift Maintenance Mechanic at Dodge Ridge, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying weather conditions, including high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extreme temperatures. You will be required to work outdoors, often in high places, and frequently around moving objects. You may also be required to work in confined spaces or on towers up to 70 feet.

Uniform and Equipment

A professional appearance is required at Dodge Ridge. You will be provided with most of the uniform, but you will be required to provide some items, such as winter clothing, headgear, warm boots with Vibram soles, goggles, gloves, sunscreen, and ski or snowboarding equipment that meets Dodge Ridge's binding function test.
