The technician will work on aerial tramways, surface lifts, rope tows, and conveyors, requiring a solid mechanical understanding and the ability to troubleshoot diverse machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Comprehend the mechanical principles and operations of tramways, tows, surface lifts, and conveyors.
  2. Conduct daily inspections of all lift systems to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Maintain precise and comprehensive maintenance records for all lift equipment.
  4. Familiarity with ANSI B-77 standards.
  5. Utilize repair manuals and maintenance documentation effectively.
  6. Diagnose and resolve issues with tramways, tows, surface lifts, and conveyors, even in challenging conditions.
  7. Utilize radio communication equipment responsibly.
  8. Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies, ensuring resource conservation and timely procurement.
  9. Meet departmental service objectives as outlined by supervisors.

Safety Responsibilities:

  1. Employ appropriate safety gear for all tasks.
  2. Identify and rectify safety hazards within the maintenance department.
  3. Operate snowmobiles safely across varied terrains.
  4. Adhere to the Dodge Ridge Safety Plan diligently.
  5. Maintain a high level of organization, professionalism, and cleanliness in all work areas, ensuring proper care and safety protocols for tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write clearly, completing necessary records and reports accurately.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, task-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable working in noisy environments and confined spaces, including heights.
  • Mechanical training and basic electrical knowledge are preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents.
  • Good physical condition, capable of lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least eighteen years old and possess a valid driver's license.

Work Environment: Employees may be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including high winds, heavy snowfall, and extreme temperatures. The role often involves collaboration with other resort staff and may require working at heights or around moving machinery.

Uniform Requirements: A professional appearance is mandatory. Employees are expected to wear a name tag and uniform during shifts, with some items provided by the company. Personal winter clothing and gear must meet company standards.
