Minimum Qualifications:
- Current New York State employee with a minimum of one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as an Administrative Assistant 2; OR a current New York State employee with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in a position classified as Grade 13 or higher and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
- Must have successfully completed a keyboarding assessment demonstrating a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute with at least 96% accuracy.
Provisional Opportunity:
Candidates must be qualified employees of New York State and possess a minimum of one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in designated titles.
The Administrative Assistant 2 will be assigned to the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Chief Portfolio Office (CPO) and will provide support to the Portfolio Executive Director and Deputy Director. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the collection of data for reports intended for client agencies.
- Coordinating office support functions and overseeing central documentation, inventory management, mail processing, and financial record-keeping.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining Distribution Lists for the Project Management Office.
- Preparing various reports, presentations, and status updates.
- Providing support to the Purchasing Liaison for the Unit.
