Position Overview for Assistant Controller:

The Assistant Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in reporting. This position involves:

  • Leading financial reviews and analyses to support plant operations.
  • Enhancing tools and processes for insightful financial analysis.
  • Fortifying internal controls to ensure compliance in financial reporting.
  • Preparing detailed analyses and presentations to highlight variances and forecast adjustments.
  • Investigating accounting issues and proposing viable solutions.
  • Collaborating with auditors to address and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Driving process improvements within the finance department.
  • Conducting financial data analysis to identify trends and shifts.
  • Compiling comprehensive financial reports and reconciliation schedules.
  • Creating various analyses focused on sales and profitability metrics.
  • Assisting with ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
  • Developing automated reporting tools to streamline financial processes.
  • Preparing financial schedules for reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Maintaining product costing for accurate valuation and cost estimation.
  • Serving as a backup for payroll functions when necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent educational background is required.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
