Job Overview

Position Summary:

As a System Integration Specialist at Vertical Supply Group (VSG), you will be tasked with the design, implementation, and support of electronic data interchange (EDI) and system integration solutions across diverse platforms and applications, including NetSuite, PaceJet, SlimStock, True Commerce, Boomi, and B2BGateway. Your role is vital in ensuring the efficient operation of our supply chain processes and data integrations. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will engage with various stakeholders both within and outside the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain integration solutions between NetSuite, PaceJet, SlimStock, and other external systems.
  • Implement and oversee EDI systems, including TrueCommerce and B2BGateway, to facilitate seamless data exchange with trading partners.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and team members to gather and document requirements for EDI and system integration initiatives.
  • Configure and map EDI documents (such as 850, 855, 856, 810, etc.) in accordance with trading partner specifications.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve EDI and system integration issues promptly to minimize business disruptions.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to end-users and internal teams.
  • Manage relationships with third-party EDI and system integration vendors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data exchanges between internal and external systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation for EDI and system integration processes and procedures.
  • Oversee Data Warehouse integrations utilizing Boomi and Snowflake.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance processes and workflows.
  • Effectively communicate project status, issues, and solutions to team members and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for operational system integrations and EDI-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with third-party EDI providers and trading partners to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing communication.
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of system integration and EDI documentation, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in system integration and EDI.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP).
  • Proficient in data mapping, transformation, and validation processes.
  • Experience in establishing, testing, and maintaining EDI connections with trading partners.
  • Familiarity with e-Commerce punchout and CXML documents.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and integration methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience with NetSuite, PaceJet, SlimStock, and True Commerce is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Boomi, Bartender, SQL Server, Snowflake, and B2BGateway is advantageous.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes and operations is highly recommended.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work: This role involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The position primarily involves sitting but may require brief periods of walking or standing. Jobs may be classified as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
