Job Summary

The American Honda Motor Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Integration Test Facility Manager to lead our Integrated Test Facility Section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a state-of-the-art hardware-in-the-loop integration testing laboratory, overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to design, build, maintain, and operate advanced integration test facilities for the development of complex aircraft systems.
  • Collaborate closely with program management, engineering, and flight test teams to support the laboratory's build and testing schedules.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage engineering integration program/project schedules and certification activities.
  • Interface with various departments, including Engineering, Program Management Office, Facilities, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, HR, Customer Service, and other organizations to ensure laboratory availability and project completion according to program requirements and schedule.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
  • Develop resource load plans and execute hiring to maintain and grow the team to accomplish both short and long-term goals.
  • Plan and manage multi-year budgets, planning, and purchasing to maintain and upgrade the laboratory to support new programs and technologies.
  • Interface with suppliers as needed to support projects.
  • Review engineering documents, including drawings, test plans, test reports, etc.
  • Provide engineering process leadership, especially in the areas of V&V of safety-critical systems.
  • Provide project updates and reporting to management and/or Program Leadership as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience within the aviation or aerospace industry or a closely related industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical/systems/software development, including V&V.
  • 3+ years of experience building and leading technical teams solving complex problems.
  • Familiarity with hands-on troubleshooting across electrical, software, and mechanical domains.
  • Experience applying Systems Engineering principles in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience managing a test laboratory and system test integration laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of aerospace engineering processes, certification requirements, and familiarity with flight test operations.
  • Working knowledge of FAR Part 23/25.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project software.
  • Experience with FAA certification and knowledge of DO-178 and ARP4754 standards.
  • Experience with automated testing and model-based design.
  • Familiarity with SW version control and problem tracking tools (GIT/JIRA or similar).
  • Experience with engineering process tools for Requirement Management, Configuration Control, and Version Control (DOORS, Confluence, Bitbucket, Teamcenter).
  • Knowledge of CAD (CATIA) and PLM Systems (TeamCenter).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills and a self-starter who takes initiative without supervision.
  • Able to effectively communicate and present to Senior Program and Engineering Leadership.
Working Conditions

Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.

Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
