Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive packaging studies and recommend design solutions.
• Facilitate cross-functional packaging discussions and manage geometrical tasks efficiently.
• Evaluate media routing, suggest routing paths, and develop clipping solutions.
• Analyze and propose standardized solutions that can be utilized across all brands to reduce part numbers and enhance commonality.
• Execute preliminary packaging analyses, present findings, and recommend future actions.
• Contribute to the enhancement of the packaging verification process, methodologies, and tools.
• Participate in the geometry verification plan (including virtual builds, physical builds B/C, and DMU structure) to elevate CAD maturity and quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, ideally within class 8 heavy-duty truck development.
• Strong grasp of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing principles and applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of complete vehicle and/or chassis systems is preferred.
• Proficient experience with PTC Creo Parametric and Creo View.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.
• Experience in Product Data Management is advantageous, particularly with Volvo PDM system KOLA.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
