The Integrated Test Facility Manager is accountable for overseeing a sophisticated hardware-in-the-loop integration testing environment. This facility encompasses aircraft avionics, electrical systems, actuation hardware, real-time simulations, and associated test electrical systems. The Manager is tasked with the design, construction, upkeep, and daily operations of the facility, which serves various purposes including research and development, certification testing, and production testing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Directs a team in the design, construction, maintenance, and daily management of advanced integration testing facilities for complex aircraft systems development.

2. Collaborates closely with program management and engineering teams to ensure alignment with testing schedules.

3. Develops and manages engineering integration project timelines and certification processes.

4. Engages with various departments such as Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing to maintain laboratory availability and meet project deadlines.

5. Cultivates and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.

6. Creates resource allocation plans and oversees recruitment to achieve both immediate and long-term objectives.

7. Plans and manages multi-year budgets, including procurement to enhance the lab's capabilities for new programs and technologies.

8. Coordinates with suppliers as necessary to support ongoing projects.

9. Reviews technical documentation including engineering drawings and test reports.

10. Provides leadership in engineering processes, particularly in the verification and validation of safety-critical systems.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field from an accredited institution.

2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the aviation or aerospace sector or a closely related field.

3. At least 5 years of experience in electrical/systems/software development, including verification and validation.

4. A minimum of 3 years of experience in building and leading technical teams to address complex challenges.

5. Hands-on troubleshooting experience across electrical, software, and mechanical domains.

6. Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles in the aerospace industry.

7. Experience in managing test laboratories, particularly system test integration laboratories.

Skills and Competencies:

1. Comprehensive understanding of aerospace engineering processes and certification standards.

2. Proficient in Microsoft Project software.

3. Knowledge of FAA certification processes and familiarity with DO-178 and ARP4754 standards.

4. Experience with automated testing and model-based design methodologies.

5. Familiarity with software version control and issue tracking tools (e.g., GIT/JIRA).

6. Experience with engineering process tools for requirement management and configuration control.

7. Proficient in CAD (CATIA) and PLM systems (TeamCenter).

8. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

10. Capable of effectively presenting information to senior leadership.

Physical Requirements:

1. May be exposed to operational noise, heat, dust, and aircraft-related odors.

2. Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, and lifting as required by job duties.

3. Must adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.

4. Effective communication in Business English is required.

5. Ability to lift or move items up to 50 lbs. with assistance as necessary.
