Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Systems Specialist to join our team. This role involves performing operational checks, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics and electrical systems on various aircraft types. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of avionics hardware, wiring assemblies, and relevant industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as cabling, component removal/installation, wire harness management, fabrication/repair of wire assemblies, and continuity checks.
- Assess work feasibility in power-on mode, execute necessary testing procedures, and fabricate/install wiring assemblies and mechanical equipment.
- Adhere to detailed specifications, maintain a clean and safe working environment, strictly follow safety protocols, and complete all required documentation accurately.
- Operate ground support equipment effectively, demonstrate the ability to work independently, provide assistance to colleagues, and communicate clearly and professionally.
Secondary Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership and assume a team lead role when necessary.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing avionics systems on Military or Commercial aircraft.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant or FAA Airframe certificate.
- FCC License.
- Experience with Avionics Repairs on transport category aircraft in an MRO environment.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
This role may involve exposure to noise, physical agility demands, chemical substances, the use of safety equipment, respiratory protection requirements, drug/alcohol testing, and specific vision capabilities.
