We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures and analyzing results to ensure high-quality images.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging Procedures: Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results to identify any issues with image quality.
- Patient Education: Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
- Contrast Media Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status as appropriate.
- Equipment Preparation: Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implementing safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
- Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire, CPR – American Heart Association, Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Prior Radiology Experience: Prior experience in radiology is preferred.
