We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Allegheny Health Network. As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with minimal supervision, utilizing your technical expertise and independent judgment to ensure high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results to identify any issues with image quality.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results, taking appropriate action to resolve any image quality issues.
- Review patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within your scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status as necessary.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implementing safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire.
- CPR certification.
- Prior radiology experience.
