Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing prescribed radiographic imaging procedures and analyzing results to ensure high-quality images.
Key Responsibilities
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results to identify any issues with image quality.
- Review patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures and equipment to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as ordered, monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status as necessary.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implementing safety standards and quality control procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire.
- CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior radiology experience.
