We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing prescribed radiographic imaging procedures and analyzing results to ensure high-quality images.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients and perform imaging procedures, utilizing independent judgment and initiative to ensure accurate and high-quality results.
- Analyze imaging results and identify issues with image quality, taking appropriate action to resolve these issues.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results, ensuring timely and accurate communication with healthcare teams.
- Review patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status as necessary.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters to ensure optimal results.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment, troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions as needed.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire.
- CPR – American Heart Association certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Prior radiology experience.
