Business Risk and Controls Manager

The OpportunityWe're seeking a highly skilled Manager of Business Risk and Controls to join our team. As a key member of our risk management team, you'll be responsible for managing a team of Business Controls Specialists who provide centralized operational support through internal process review, quality audits, and testing. Your goal will be to ensure operational risks are appropriately identified and controls are working as intended.
You'll motivate staff toward departmental goals and develop employees through regular coaching and feedback, leading to improved results. Additionally, you'll ensure compliance with all prescribed internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks
- Manage a team of Business Controls Specialists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Conduct regular audits and testing to ensure controls are working as intended
- Provide coaching and feedback to staff to improve performance and achieve departmental goals
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure compliance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of operations, process experience, quality assurance, or quality improvement
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Advanced knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, and regulatory data sources
- Knowledge of federal laws, rules, regulations, and applicable guidance to the area supported
USAA offers a competitive salary range of $99,160 - $178,480, depending on experience and location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k), pension, life insurance, parental benefits, adoption assistance, paid time off, and 16 paid volunteer hours.
