The Relationship Manager, Private Risk serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional client service, technical expertise, and proactive risk management. Key Responsibilities:- Client Service: Provide proactive day-to-day client service by anticipating and evaluating client needs, responding to client questions and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Risk Management: Review client exposures, underwriting memos, loss experiences, and current coverages to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Insurance Expertise: Advise and counsel clients on complex risk exposures, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and transfer.
- Claims Management: Review inspection reports for accuracy and provide proactive direction to resolve claims.
- Renewal Proposals: Create and present private risk management renewal proposals and agendas to existing clients, conducting annual interactive reviews as needed.
- Insurance Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with insurance company partners, staying up-to-date on insurer contracts, requirements, and attributes.
- Accuracy and Timeliness: Maintain a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and completion when interacting with clients, the firm, and insurance company partners to minimize potential errors and omissions claims.
- Market Placement: Serve as a market placement specialist, remarketing existing programs to ensure alignment with client needs.
- Industry Knowledge: Remain current on industry offerings and make proactive recommendations to clients.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, identifying opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes.
- License: Current Property & Casualty License, as required by the State Department of Insurance, or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment.
- Education: College degree preferred, with professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, etc. a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in personal insurance, including insurance company contracts and guidelines, proprietary insurer systems, and claim knowledge.
