Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Member Service Representative to join our team at Excel Fitness. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fitness club during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Club Operations: Ensure that the club is operating in compliance with Excel Fitness policies, practices, and objectives.
  • Maintain Club Cleanliness: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and atmosphere of the club, ensuring that it meets Excel Fitness standards.
  • Conduct Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure that the club is presentable and meeting Excel Fitness standards.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Communicate with members and provide a high level of customer service, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Perform Nightly Inspections: Perform nightly inspections of the club, completing assigned cleaning or associated tasks, and re-inspecting to ensure that tasks are completed to standard.
  • Audit and Balance Cash Drawers: Audit and balance cash drawers on a daily basis, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Update and Review Daily Reports: Update and review daily reports, completing any corresponding data entry documents, and ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment: Provide a safe and secure environment for members during overnight hours, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
  • Stock and Restock Retail and Promotional Items: Stock and restock retail and promotional items, ensuring that the club is well-stocked and ready for the next business day.
  • Ensure Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Ensure that the club complies with all state and federal laws and insurance requirements, ensuring that the club is operating in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Operate and Assist with Equipment: Operate and assist with the use of tanning, hydro, and total body enhancement equipment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that members are using it safely and effectively.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Certifications and Training: Stay up-to-date on all required certifications and training courses, ensuring that you are knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of club operations.
  • Assist with Club Promotions and Training: Assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager with club promotions, training, and implementation of operational strategies, ensuring that the club is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Supervise and Train Team Members: Supervise and train team members, ensuring that they are meeting Excel Fitness standards of cleaning and customer service.
  • Communicate with Members and Prospects: Communicate with members and prospects, promoting the club and its services, and ensuring that all interactions are positive and professional.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications and Training: Tanning certification, CPR certification, and AED certification required before working alone.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working overnight required.
  • Physical Demands: Must be comfortable working alone and standing for long periods of time.
  • Communication Skills: Great communication skills with internal and external customers required.
  • Teamwork and Motivation: Must be team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient ability in Microsoft Office and using a computer required.
