Position Overview
Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator for a significant energy client. This role is designed to support the planning and execution of construction and maintenance activities related to substation assets.

Compensation: $43 - $53/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits

Work Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts per week.

Travel Requirements:

  • On-site presence is required 2-4 days per week, with occasional opportunities for remote work.
  • Overnight travel expenses and mileage to job sites will be reimbursed, though per diem is not provided.
  • Personal vehicle usage is necessary, with potential driving distances of up to 300 miles weekly.
Key Responsibilities:

The Construction Project Coordinator will report to the Supervisor of Aera Coordination and will be instrumental in the preparation of work packages for construction and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include:
  • Analyzing maintenance and performance history to identify specific requirements for successful task completion.
  • Identifying concurrent maintenance work or capital projects to enhance resource efficiency.
  • Documenting discrepancies between actual and estimated job task hours.
  • Monitoring project progress and raising issues to supervisors for improvement opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with NERC documentation requirements.
  • Collaborating with construction resources and project management to effectively allocate resources for assigned projects.
Work Package Development:
The Construction Project Coordinator will create comprehensive work packages that encompass:
  • Detailed scope of work.
  • Accurate time estimates for job completion.
  • Required skill sets and procedures.
  • Identification of special tools and equipment needs.
  • Obtaining necessary permits.
  • Project duration projections for scheduling.
  • Safety and environmental considerations.
  • Coordination of materials and resources to meet project timelines.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or 7 years in lieu of a degree.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6 years of additional relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with work management systems (e.g., MS Project, MAXIMO).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
This role involves planning for multiple Transmission Substation crews, requiring effective collaboration with supervisors to align work schedules with business strategies. The position may also involve emergency planning and support during adverse conditions.
