Job Summary

Mackinnon & Partners is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to oversee the construction process of our multifamily projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely completion, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing project budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate contractors and their subcontractors on new multifamily construction projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate contractors to maintain or improve project schedules.
  • Collaborate with Development Managers to manage projects to meet expectations of quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Review and maintain jobsite plan sets, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Identify cost savings and/or time schedule reduction potential.
  • Work with municipalities to resolve issues that arise in the field.
  • Review subcontract agreements and purchase orders with all subcontractors/vendors.
  • Maintain compliance with project safety program requirements.
  • Provide timely reports of project milestones, costs, changes, and schedules.
  • Coordinate RFI's in a clear manner.
  • Generate weekly look ahead schedules and determine sequencing of work.
  • Ensure project sites are clean and organized.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience as a Project Superintendent in the construction industry.
  • 5+ years' experience in multifamily construction preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows operation systems and associated software.
  • Ability to work with numerous contractors and subcontractors in an efficient manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Management skills, experience in team and project management.
  • Critical thinker and problem solver.
  • Procore experience a plus.
  • College degree required; Four year degree preferred.
