Job Summary

Nova Southeastern University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to provide administrative support to our team. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing general office and clerical support, including data entry, typing, and processing invoices.
  • Reviewing and verifying accuracy of data, and generating reports as needed.
  • Scanning and filing documents using electronic and manual filing systems.
  • Picking up, sorting, and distributing correspondence and materials.
  • Providing front office coverage, including greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate person or answering phones and taking messages.
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of office supplies, and assisting with office equipment repairs.
  • Preparing letters, memos, and purchase order requisitions.
  • Handling travel authorization requests and processing reimbursements.
  • Routing actions to the appropriate departments and following through.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • One (1) year experience in general clerical/office duties in an office environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Ability to work in a team setting, take direction, and work independently as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college education.
Working Conditions

This is a non-exempt position, and the selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced office environment. The position is subject to grant funding, and the selected candidate will be required to work in a team setting.
