Manufacturing Team Leader

Position Summary
The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Production Manager by overseeing daily operations within the assigned production area. This includes organizing, managing, and monitoring production activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates the functions of the Production department in collaboration with other teams to meet established production timelines.
- Assists in making decisions regarding scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Helps prioritize tasks and adjust production capacities to fulfill requirements.
- Analyzes budgeted hours and assesses their impact on production schedules and future phases.
- Identifies shortages in parts, tools, or supplies and ensures that all necessary items are available to maintain production flow.
- Implements process enhancements and eliminates non-value-added activities.
- Collaborates with the Production Manager, Director, and fellow Supervisors to foster teamwork through cross-training initiatives.
- Develops employee skills through ongoing communication and constructive feedback.
- Monitors quality standards and schedule adherence.
- Provides technical guidance to shop personnel as needed.
- Trains and motivates team members.
- Conducts employee performance reviews.
- Ensures compliance with company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace and contributes to daily housekeeping efforts.
- Adheres to safety protocols and remains vigilant for unsafe conditions, addressing them proactively.
- Achieves target hours and fulfills schedules as established by management.
- Maintains consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with five years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience demonstrating skills is acceptable. Previous experience in people management is preferred, along with a background in aerospace and aircraft interiors. Vocational training is advantageous.

- Proficient in English communication (reading, writing, and speaking).

- Experience in supervising teams effectively.
- Able to solve practical problems in varied situations.

- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as required.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of climbing and working on ladders.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to reach overhead and work in confined spaces.
- Normal or corrected vision for precise tasks.
- Full range of motion with both hands.
- Ability to work in various positions, including stooping and kneeling.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is between $67,000 and $93,357. Actual compensation will be based on experience, education, location, and other legally permissible factors.
