This role offers an hourly compensation of $24.44, along with a competitive bonus structure based on store performance

Position Overview:

We are in search of a Retail Operations Leader with 2+ years of supervisory and customer service experience (retail/sales is a PLUS). A Retail Operations Leader will oversee the daily functions of the store and foster a positive and productive atmosphere. This role involves leading, coaching, and developing store personnel. The Retail Operations Leader will be responsible for attracting and retaining top talent. Additionally, this position will focus on achieving financial objectives and managing Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. By exemplifying our company values, the Retail Operations Leader establishes a customer-focused environment. The Retail Operations Leader will analyze the store's financial reports to ensure targets are met and make necessary adjustments. This role is committed to the company's asset protection strategy through inventory management, adherence to policies and procedures, and securing customer loans. Utilizing both internal and external marketing strategies, the Retail Operations Leader will promote our business and attract new customers. All employees engage with a diverse range of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and much more.

This position provides a competitive salary plus a bonus based on the store's performance. The actual compensation for successful Retail Operations Leaders will be determined by various factors, including work location, qualifications, and experience. This position reports to the area's District Manager.

Key Responsibilities of a Retail Operations Leader include:

  • Foster a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and promptly addressing customer concerns.
  • Oversee and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to ensure their development aligns with FirstCash standards.
  • Attract top talent by sourcing candidates through company-approved channels.
  • Open and close the store, including but not limited to, counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory management, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes and procedures within the store, which include inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise-level reporting.
  • Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability through effective communication and goal-setting.
  • Ensure that operational standards meet or exceed FirstCash expectations.
  • Monitor loan qualification and purchasing processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for personal development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store's mission and profit objectives.
  • Stay informed on product knowledge.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time (in accordance with federal, state, local law) some of which include, but are not limited to, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • Employees may be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building (within our parking lots) or to retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings or other areas.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Should be able to work in multiple locations, as business needs dictate.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Retail Operations Leaders will work 45+ hours a week. Hours worked are based on the needs of the business and are not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills
  • Cash handling experience is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission Plan Information

Retail Operations Leaders can receive a monthly bonus based on the overall store performance. Applicants are provided more details regarding the commission/store bonus incentive plan during the interview process.
