Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Operational Excellence to join our team at Millennium Physician Group. This is a full-time, salaried position that will be responsible for managing and coordinating administrative and clinical services for one or more physician office sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Establish and implement work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership: Supervise medical, nursing, and clerical staff to ensure quality patient care and achieve operational excellence.
  • Project Management: Act as project manager to ensure process improvement initiatives are completed on-time, within scope, and meet established objectives.
  • Best Practices: Identify and document best practices through journey mapping and collaboration across functional areas.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with MPG's training departments to assist in staff onboarding programs and develop training programs related to practice operations.
  • Performance Improvement: Help underperforming practices by assessing current operations, processes, and staff, and work with practice leadership to develop and implement action plans to turn around performance.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Lead and support the development of comprehensive reporting packages to drive performance for Operating Leaders and Executives.
  • Operational Efficiency: Conduct ad hoc analyses to identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist with the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing practice operations and enhancing patient care delivery.
  • Financial Management: Ensure operating initiatives are aligned with budgetary constraints and financial goals.
  • Project Management: Manage strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams to execute new operating practices while adhering to budget, scope, and schedule requirements.
  • Communication: Support and maintain strong relationships with corporate administration, market leaders, practice managers, and staff to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success and impact of implemented programs and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Best Practices Sharing: Identify and share best practices across the organization to drive continuous improvement and standardization.
  • Project Management: Manage the project activities including but not limited to clinical monitoring, data management, statistical analysis, safety monitoring, and compliance to ensure proper conduct and timely completion of all projects.
  • Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to inform decision-making and drive innovation within the organization.
  • Guest Service: Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business management, healthcare, finance, or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on analysis and program implementation; 5+ years of managerial experience; 3+ years in healthcare consulting or investment banking preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in common Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience in SQL and/or Tableau or similar programs is preferred.
  • Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations; proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex projects and initiatives; strong clinical study management skills, including risk assessment and contingency planning.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; willingness to travel as dictated by assigned project requirements (approximately 25%).
