POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electromechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions to assemble sub-assemblies and final products. This role involves soldering, riveting, screwing, gluing, or press-fitting components, as well as connecting and soldering lead wires to printed circuit boards or panels.

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in performing essential duties and have experience in a production setting, adhering to detailed instructions.

SUPERVISION:

This position receives direct oversight from the Team Lead and indirect guidance from the Department Manager. There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret and follow technical drawings, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Assemble small internal and external electrical and mechanical components to ensure proper functionality.
  • Utilize various methods such as soldering, riveting, and press-fitting to secure components.
  • Connect and solder lead wires between components and circuit boards.
  • Assemble cables, harnesses, and significant sub-assemblies.
  • Execute drilling, cutting, and fastening of components.
  • Conduct quality inspections on products and parts.
  • Troubleshoot assembled simulator parts.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area and equipment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to plan and review work activities.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in electromechanical assembly.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills are essential.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for various tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Capability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift.
  • Must possess clear hearing and speaking abilities.
  • Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
