POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electromechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for interpreting and executing assembly instructions from drawings, diagrams, or verbal directives. This role involves assembling sub-components and final products, utilizing various methods such as soldering, riveting, and press-fitting to ensure proper assembly and functionality.

Success in this position requires a strong ability to follow detailed instructions and a familiarity with production environments.

SUPERVISION:

This position receives direct oversight from the Team Lead and indirect guidance from the Department Manager. No supervisory responsibilities are assigned to this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret and follow assembly instructions from various sources.
  • Assemble internal electrical and mechanical components according to schematics to ensure product functionality.
  • Utilize techniques such as soldering, riveting, and gluing to secure components.
  • Connect and solder lead wires to printed circuit boards or panels.
  • Construct cables, harnesses, and major sub-assemblies.
  • Perform drilling, cutting, and fastening of components.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on assembled products.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to plan and review work tasks.
  • Complete additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in electromechanical assembly.
  • Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills are essential.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent use of hands and arms for various tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift.
  • Capability to bend, stoop, or kneel as necessary.
  • Must possess good hearing and vision abilities.
