Dynamic Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement therapeutic recreation plans for individuals with diverse needs.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality programs.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals facing physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and developmental challenges.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Implement interventions based on individual interests in various settings.
  • Evaluate individual's advancements toward their recreational therapy goals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to person-centered planning.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy/Therapeutic Recreation.
  • National Certification (CTRS) or ability to test within 6 months.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $21.52 per hour. The benefits package includes paid training, tuition reimbursement, health insurance options, 403(b) retirement fund, life insurance, dental, vision, and EAP.
