The Sales and Service Associate is a key member of the Hertz Local Edition team, serving as the brand ambassador and providing exceptional customer experiences. This role involves delivering world-class customer service and effectively selling Hertz products and services to meet customers' travel and insurance replacement needs.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Effectively communicate and offer ancillary products and services to enhance customers' travel experiences.
  • Sales and Revenue Maximization: Strong emphasis on selling and revenue maximization on core products, such as options to waive customers' responsibility of damage, fuel options, and vehicle upsells.
  • Personal Sales Goals: Achieve personal sales goals while supporting the goals of the team.
  • Fast-Paced Sales Environment: Work in a fast-paced sales environment, providing helpful, quality service and sales, while enhancing customers' rental experiences.
  • Phone Shops and Reservations: Convert phone shops to reservations and rentals.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Create a positive customer service experience by listening to and identifying customers' needs.
  • Revenue Opportunities: Maximize revenue opportunities with customers by actively soliciting business after every rate quote, addressing/overcoming customer objections to placing a reservation, and utilizing various sales techniques as appropriate to obtain every possible booking.
  • Post-Rental Inquiries: Assist customers with various post-rental inquiries that involve the rental and billing process.
  • Sales Opportunities: View every customer contact as a sales opportunity and solicit reservations on customer service calls.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and oral, and communicate in English clearly and proficiently.
  • Competitive Drive: Have the competitive drive and confidence to succeed in a commission-based environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Sales and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate sales, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Show a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative, and work well within a team.
  • Flexibility: Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and work overtime as required.
  • Physical Demands: Work outdoors during all weather conditions and stand for long periods of time.
Qualifications
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a record in good standing.
  • Driving Ability: Ability to drive and operate vehicles.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of customer service and sales experience.
