Job Summary

VIA Health Partners is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner Preceptor to join our team. As a key member of our clinical development team, you will play a critical role in mentoring and educating advanced practice providers in palliative and hospice care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and implement clinical training and competencies for advanced practice providers
  • Develop and disseminate policy and procedure guidelines for clinical practice
  • Communicate clinical practice changes and updates to staff
  • Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for practice modifications
  • Assist in the onboarding and education of advanced practice providers
  • Oversee and develop orientation programs for advanced practice providers
  • Ensure ongoing updates to orientation programs as standards and best practices change
  • Conduct regular meetings with advanced practice providers to address clinical competency gaps and concerns
  • Audit documentation and competency in the EMR
  • Partner with branch leadership to provide feedback on the progress and success of advanced practice providers
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in hospice and palliative care, family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, oncology, home health care, or medical surgical
  • Master's degree in nursing and certification in hospice and palliative care nursing required within six months of hire
  • Current, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in NC and SC, and official recognition as an Advanced Practice Provider from the NC and SC Board of Nursing
  • Current and unrestricted DEA and Basic Life Support required
