Strategic Business Development Leader

Your Role:
We are seeking a seasoned business development professional to identify and evaluate new opportunities, drive revenue growth, and build strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- IDentify and pursue business opportunities through research, analysis, and negotiation.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business initiatives.
- Lead the negotiation and closing of partnerships, contracts, and agreements.
- Create compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to showcase our value proposition.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments.
- Track and report on business development activities, including pipeline status, deal progress, and revenue projections.
- Represent Inversion at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on market research and competitive analysis.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of the government proposal and procurement process.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Proven track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and building strategic partnerships.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to establish and maintain connections with key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence decision-makers.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset capable of identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive win-win outcomes and navigate complex deal structures.
- Results-oriented with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets and objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a startup environment.
- Active DoD security clearance.
Location: Torrance, CA
Estimated Salary Range: $250,000 - $350,000 per year
ITAR Compliance: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
