The AECI Charter Schools Network seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Principal to oversee either AECI 1 Middle School or AECI 2 Middle School. This role involves inspiring students and supporting the school community to achieve remarkable levels of success. The Principal is expected to undertake the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

● Visionary Leadership: Formulate and execute a comprehensive vision and strategic plan for the school's development and achievements. Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture that aligns with AECI's mission and objectives.

● Academic Achievement: Supervise curriculum design and ensure the adoption of rigorous and engaging teaching methodologies. Track student progress and performance, ensuring all students meet and surpass academic benchmarks.

● Faculty Development: Recruit, mentor, and assess a diverse and skilled teaching staff. Provide continuous professional development opportunities and support to enhance teaching effectiveness and student success.

● Community Involvement: Establish strong connections with students, parents, staff, and the broader community. Encourage active parental participation and nurture community partnerships that bolster the school's mission.

● Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the school, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management. Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations and policies.

● Student Advocacy: Champion the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students. Implement programs and services that cater to the diverse needs of the student body, fostering a safe and inclusive school environment.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualifications: Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related discipline.

Certification: Valid NYS, School Building Leader (SBL) certification.

Experience: At least 5 years of teaching experience and 3 years of administrative experience, preferably at the middle school level.

Leadership Competencies: Proven ability to lead and motivate a school community. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to Diversity: Experience in diverse educational environments. Dedication to equity and inclusion in education.

Innovative Mindset: Capacity to develop and communicate a clear vision for a new school. Creative and forward-thinking approach to education.
