Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Elementary School Leadership Position to join our team at Academy of the City Charter School. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the academic and behavioral needs of students, as well as strengthening and maintaining the school culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Principal, Assistant Principal, and Instructional Coach to support teachers in planning and implementing curriculum, including specialists and support providers.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team to develop and implement behavioral plans in the classroom for students who are experiencing difficulties.
  • Meet with parents to discuss academic and behavioral expectations, as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes social justice and diversity.
  • Monitor student assessments and achievements, and work with teachers to develop strategies to improve student outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree required
  • At least five years of teaching experience in urban schools
  • Administrative experience in urban schools
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Experience working with teachers on curriculum implementation and student behavior
