Position Overview:
The Flooring Measurement Specialist operates independently in a mobile role supporting Home Depot's Measurement Services division. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service that aligns with the company's standards of excellence and meets customer expectations. The Specialist is responsible for fostering, maintaining, and enhancing customer relationships through daily interactions, including sales support, product inquiries, conducting on-site measurements, and coordinating installation services in collaboration with the Measurement Services division. Additionally, this position ensures a positive customer experience by accurately capturing measurements, entering data via a tablet, and achieving various departmental objectives.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service (90%): Engaging with customers to assess their needs, provide assistance, and perform home measurements.
  • Drawing Evaluation (10%): Reviewing and modifying drawings on the tablet.
Reporting Structure:
  • This position typically reports to the Local Field Manager.
  • This role has no direct reports.
Travel Expectations:
  • Overnight travel is generally required 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand or walk continuously and may require lifting or handling materials or equipment weighing between 8-20 pounds.
Work Environment:
  • Work is primarily conducted in a comfortable indoor setting, with occasional mild discomfort.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be at least eighteen years old.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Educational Requirements:
  • Typically, a high school diploma or GED is required.
